Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies and similar technologies are used on davidsondigitalaruba.com, what they do, and how you can change your mind at any time.

The short version

This website uses one optional tool: Google Analytics, which tells us how many people visit and which pages they read. It stays switched off until you allow it. You can refuse it, and you can change your choice whenever you like using the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store. It lets the site recognise your browser on a later visit. Similar technologies — such as local storage, and pixels that report a page view — do comparable things and are covered by this policy too.

Optional services

Anything in this section is switched off until you give permission. Nothing below runs on a visit where you have refused permission or have not yet made a choice.

Optional services and privacy choices

Whether optional services need permission before they run depends on your location and the settings for this site. Services you previously declined stay off. If we cannot determine which services are allowed, they stay off.

You can decline optional services or withdraw permission at any time in Cookie settings. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, advertising stays off unless you explicitly allow it in Cookie preferences. This signal does not automatically turn off functional services or analytics.

  • Google Analytics

Measure how many people visit the website and which pages they read.

    Analytics

Google Analytics stores a client identifier in first-party cookies and records page views. Event data is retained for up to 14 months by default, configurable in the analytics account.

Remembering your choice

When you accept or reject, we store that decision so we do not ask you again on every page. That record is kept on your own device. You can clear it at any time by changing your preferences through the Cookie Settings link, and your new choice takes effect immediately.

Working out which rules apply to you

To know which privacy rules apply in your region, the website makes a brief, coarse lookup of your general location — typically at country level, based on your connection. It is used to decide how to ask for your permission. It does not store a profile of you and is not used for advertising.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we respect it as a request to refuse optional services. A GPC signal is honoured on its own, and choosing “Accept All” does not override it.

Website statistics without cookies

Alongside the optional analytics above, this website uses a privacy-focused statistics service that does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors. Because it stores nothing on your device and builds no profile of you, it does not require your permission and is not affected by the choice you make here.

Contact forms

When you send us a message, the form uses a security check to confirm a real person is filling it in and to block automated spam. That check is necessary for the form to work and is not optional. The details you type — your name, email, phone number and message — are sent to us so we can reply.

Withdrawing your choice

You can change or withdraw your permission at any time. Use the Cookie Settings link in the footer of any page, or the button below.

Changes to this policy

If we add or change a tool that uses cookies, we will update this page and ask for your permission again where required.
